Bon Rouge, our country cottage bistro and kitchen, offers scrumptious dishes, treats and homemade products. Our lunch and dinner menu is revised daily subject to the availability of fresh produce. We are renowned for dishes such as South African waterblommetjiebredie, traditional Cape Malay style Bobotie. Please contact us to enquire about our menu for the day. Salads, cold meat and cheese platters, coffee or tea and dessert options can also be served outside while enjoying the splendid view over the dam, Breede River and mountains surrounding our beautiful Eilandia valley or can alternatively be sent over to your cottage.

Every Sunday we run our Traditional buffet which boasts some of the firm favourites - freshly bakes breads, soups, salads, vegetables, sweet pumpkin, rice, potatoes, a minimum of two meat dishes and mouth watering dessert selections.  Bookings are essential.

Kids are an intergral part of life on Bon Cap. With expert first hand knowledge (and advice of course!) the Bon Cap team created a kids paradise at Bon Rouge called the barrel garden.

It features a barrel worm, tractor, swings, trampoline, seesaw, 2 storey house and all the ropes, chains, ladders and clever hiding places the little ones dream of.
